Just read the first issue of the new Metal Men comic book maxi-series and it was a great read. In the course of one issue the Creative Team managed to explain the contradictions and inconsistencies that have appeared in the series over the years. Among them is: (1) Why has their design changed so much over the years (they went from roughly human looking, to barely human looking (like something out of a steampunk story) without acknowledgement, (2) where did their personalities actually come from?, and (3) how could Doc Magnus afford to build robots out of solid gold and solid platinum?

Great read, and this is a great win.
