My iPad Pro 9.7" is more than big enough screen-wise as I mostly use it for reading and internet browsing. I have never been able to use it to edit photos are to draw on. I was hoping that with the AP 1 I would find it fun to draw on, but that never really happened. Nor did I ever find myself wanting to edit photos on it due to the kind of editing I do. I routinely take dozens or even hundreds of photos for astrophotography then load the RAW into Lightroom on my MacBook Pro. Doing that requires a huge amount of storage space and processing power, neither of those are on my iPad Pro. The iPad Pro 9.7" has really nice sound, but I rarely listen to anything on it, so that kind of goes to waste. So in my case, I think going back to a Mini is the best choice for me. I wish now I had kept my Mini 2. It was kind of slow though. The Mini 5 is way faster than my iPad Pro 9.7" though, and it also can use the AP in case I want to use it a bit.
