It is not dead. The gentleman in the video bought it on amazon, just search for "pixel qi amazon" on a search engine, and you will find it.
It seems that Pixel Qi displays are now made by a company named "Tripuso Display Solutions". They have a website, and it seems that they offer screens up to 19 inch on their home page. Would love to see a Pixel Qi review for a large screen (bigger than 10").
