Ditto on Office 365 as a great deal. I mostly want it for cloud storage. For Home plan you can have up to 6 people, each can install on all devices and be signed in on up to 5 at the same time; 1TB for each person, 60 minutes of Skype per month. $99/year. Split the cost with some friends!
I’m a little unclear what they mean by ‘devices’ — thought I read somewhere that there was something about screen size over 10” so that would include iPad Pro and the new iPad, which is slightly over that. As it is my mini does not show up as one of my Devices, and my iPad Air 2 before that did not show up either. I’ll have to try my iPad Pro to check this.
However after replacing hard drive on my 2009 MacBook Pro with SSD, stuck on El Capitan, I was not able to install older version, though was able to download the installer. But install failed. It was working prior to that, though not getting updates. Haven’t contacted MS to see if there’s anything to be done, or tried copying over from the HD. The new battery I put in died after a couple of months, & still haven’t contacted the seller about replacement. Another project I don’t have time for...
