No, I was on 4.17.13694. The strange was that the plugin offered the same version to download and install, but didn't recognize that this version was already on the device.

I just opened Calibre, and now the plugin offers me again a new version (presumably 4.18.x), but now recognizes the version that is on the device. So, everything seems to be allright again. The point seems to have been that the older calibre version didn't yet support my firmware.

Now, I do have to edit all the patches once more ...
