I'm already getting the notices to upgrade to Catalina on my MacBook Pro. Anyway to turn that off? I don't won't to have to manually keep telling it to remind me tomorrow.

I went through the 9to5Mac video yesterday that covers the important aspects of Catalina, and to be totally honest, I saw nothing that makes me want to upgrade. So I don't want to have to constantly tell the upgrade notice to buzz off.

I haven't ruled out upgrading in the future, but I have to answer at least two questions before I even contemplate whether the upgrade is worth doing:
  1. Does Catalina slow down older Macs like my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) with 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 and 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3?
  2. Does Catalina eat up more storage space? I only have a 250GB SSD. (And no I cannot afford to upgrade the hardware in any manner.)
