I don't mean to be ludicrous. % is fine, as long as it is used with something else. And I would rather not have % be the default, and than have to go thru multiple taps to get what I want. Maybe I missed some context, but this is what I replied to initially:

Page numbers are not meaningless in ebooks, to me.

In Kobo's, I used to be able to get what I wanted with one tap (chapter info). Than it went to two. Now it is 3 taps.

I don't consider your request to swap the header and footer ludicrous (sorry if I confused you with someone else), why would someone else's preference be ludicrous?

Calling a preference ludicrous in a patching thread, seems, ... ludicrous.
