% is meaningless. Let's say you have
War & Peace and the other eBook is
War of the Worlds. Now you are at 25% in both books. Do you know where you in each book? No you don't because they are of completely different lengths. But if you have ADE page numbers, then you know that if you are on page 50 or both eBooks, then you know how far in your based on the total number of pages. If youdon't know how long a book is, then % is 100% useless.
Most people want to know where they are in an eBook and % won't do it as you don't know what it means in the overall total. But page numbers based on a formula that ADE works and you know where you are or how long the eBook is.
We need a system where you know well enough how long your eBook is and where you are in that eBook. % doesn't do that because you don't know that 100%. ADE page numbers is that system.
