And in the strictest sense, Android is Linux because it has the Linux kernel. Though historically Linux has referred to what RMS insists should be called GNU/Linux, which is the GNU userspace tools running on top of the Linux kernel.
TL;DR depending on how you define Linux, we both could be right.
