You should have asked about installing a newer firmware before buying the DXi. You then would not have spent the money. I do hope you can return it and get your money back.

That is impossible to return the item.
If I were in the US I would follow your advice and definitely would buy and use 10.3" eReader.
Unfortunately, I am far away from there
. So, I will keep DXi for reading PDFs.
