I know books often go on a never ending TBR list, but I'd recommend reading Dark Harvest soon. Not because you're missing a modern day classic, but because it is a perfect read for October (and it is short).
Norman Partridge has some other books available that are much cheaper than Dark Harvest. I liked Dark Harvest enough to immediately buy the others. He has a collection of October-themed short stories called
Johnny Halloween: Tales of the Dark Season. I think I'll give that a read this month.
