I changed that soooo long ago(because of what was happening) that I forgot.
(I also did not understand that the OP was doing a metadata download AFTER setting the metadata)
I use the ctrl-D method, The new (proposed) data appears in the Left, the old, on the Right.
You can click the arrow in the middle to
keep (copies) you old FIELD value (
some copy arrows have option, down arrows that allow merging)
Blank on the Left are Auto-filled from the right. no need to click.
IMHO it would be nice to have a 'Block' option for when the right was undesired and the Left is now blank (saves a bit of pre-cleaning)
