Power off Aura HD.
Power on. Light turns on during boot sequence, light icon on screen has a slash through it indicating light is off. Touching light icon does nothing.
Press light button. Light level increases to 30%, bar through light icon goes away. Touching light icon works normally.

Edit: power off Aura HD with light *off* in first step.
