In addition to Pdurrant answer for single instances

Get the Quality Check plugin (Preferences: Get plugins)
It can help identify these (Author, Title sort) issues
then simply select the results of the test: Tap 'E" (bulk metadata edit): then tick the appropriate (Update Tittle sort OR Automatically set Author Sort)
