I have a keyboard and a basic no touch. The basic was basically battery dead, the keyboard still had a screensaver, but it will not wake up at all. So both plugged in. It did take me a full 10 minutes to remember that the power button the keyboard is a slider and not a push button.

Its really fun when I turn on my K1 once in a while. Where? What? how?

Now I hope the keyboard comes back to life. Its not that I read on it anymore, I do use the basic at times, but so far none of my kindles have died. All the way back to the K1. I am just slightly attached to them for some odd reason.

I did not get any email about needed updates.

eta: signs of life. Keyboard is loading the boy under tree. So once they are both charged, I see if they need updating.

eat2: my lard I miss the home button. What a pleasure that was. And my reading bar. Sobs.
