I like what you've mention you like. I would like to have the header/footer sort of swapped. I would like the title at the top and the total page numbers and chapter page numbers along with the chapter name at the bottom. And U would like if I selected to not show the books title (header), I'd get the space back without having to also remove the footer.

Yes, I know the bugs. But I read only kepubs and up to now I have nor suffered such problems.
If I find such a problem, maybe I can go back to fw 4.14. In fact, I do not use many of the new features, and for me, for instance, the new changes in menus are more a regression in usability than an improvement.
At the end, each one has to weigh the pros and cons for their one use. In my case, the ease of the use with the menus and the legibility of the header/footer (in a "real book" fashion) is more important. On the other hand, for other people, it can be what they were waiting. So everybody is happy
