Marvin has a "Get Books" part where you can specify among other things "OPDS auto or Calibre Server". If the content server is set up as described in the link then you can directly and very conveniently access your books in Calibre.

I stopped using CC when I discovered this.
Thanks. My only problem with using the content server is that I can't send the read flag back to Calibre (unless I'm missing something?), but I certainly can do that manually.
