@rjwse glad you like it. I'm afraid making the controls dockable is not going to happen for technical reasons (the controls are implemented in JS and shared with the in browser viewer), dockable widgets are Qt and therefore to make the controls dockable would basically mean writing two sets of controls, which becomes a maintenance headache.
I can certainly look into having a keyboard shortcut to increase decrease the number of columns, but please ping me about it after the 4.0 release.
