Due to the infuriating limitations on installing extra dictionaries on the Kobo, at the moment I have only the basic dictionaries available on my Kobo.
Over the years I have tried various solutions allowing access to more dictionaries, but these solutions have all been invalidated one way or another (sometimes by Kobo firmware updates!
).
At the moment, I use an android tablet with other android format dictionaries or online dictionaries to make up for the inadequate Kobo dictionaries and the restrictions on extra dictionary installation on my Kobo. So I have to read my Kobo with my android tablet beside me to consult the dictionaries!
However, there are some very good dictionaries for Kobo available on Mobileread, better than those I have on my tablet, and I would like to access them on my android tablet, given that Kobo won't let me use them on my Kobo!!
Could some charitable soul, help me find a way of reading these extra Kobo dictionaries on android? Is there an application that would let me access these dictionaries in Kobo format on an android tablet? I don't want to read books on the tablet, just use it to access the Kobo format dictionaries that I have.
I have virtually no technical knowledge of computing (which is why I have given up on the (for me) difficult workarounds to allow more dictionaries on the Kobo itself) so please, a simple solution if possible!
