My prior epub2pdf conversions in 3.47 worked good except for sometimes cutting images horizontally at bottom of page, then showing full image again at top of next page. I wanted to test if 3.99 had fixed this and ran a epub2pdf conversion on the unaltered file. It failed. I tried calibre's self-correcting feature, but it failed again. Enclosing attachments.
