So far, everything makes sense, and confirms my hunches .

I'll have a few things for you to try later.

I'll *probably* ask you to run the full tests I linked earlier, but with updated binaries. You'll need shell access *in Nickel*, though. There are a couple of ways to achieve that, OTOH: KOReader's SSH server should persist on exit; Nickel's own debugging tools can start a telnet server (c.f., the recent devmodeon thread); or the slightly overkill option with my KoboStuff package .

@all: Notice that [17] IFlash='eMMC' bit? That'll be one less device for @davidfor to deal with as far as image dumps are concerned .
Plus, hopefully that means it has decent I/O perfs, like the Forma .
