You're missing out the most attractive aspect of the Nook GlowLight Plus, the price!

For $200 you get a 7.8" screen, compared to $250 for the Forma's 8" screen and $270 (!) for the 7" Oasis w/o ads.

I've played with the Nook in-store and it's a really nice reader, looks sharp, handles well. At the 7.8" size, as with the Kobo Aura One, it would be a stay-at-home reader for me anyway, so the larger profile wouldn't matter. The slightly worse specs compared to the Forma are worth it for the value purchaser.

Alas, the dealbreaker for me (and the Classic Nook was my first dedicated ereader, too) is that the overwhelming bulk of my library is from Kobo and it's just too easy to download directly to my device. There's no putting that toothpaste back in the tube, especially now that the Forma price has come down to $250. Not that I'm in the market for it.
