No, it has been in the firmware for years, though I'm surprised that they older reference I can find is from January this year. And the InvertScreen option has been in the firmware since February 2017.

I haven't enabled it on my Forma yet but I am intrigued about the orientation options that can be seen in the screenshot. I use my forma in my left hand with the buttons on the left. I would love it if there was an option for the Forma to default to that orientation without me having to wave it around until it changes orientation itself or if that isn't possible change the settings so that it pick up the orientation change quicker.

If I enable it and muck thing up is there a way to get back to the default options?
They are all completely safe to turn on. Though using the "Force WiFi ON" will lead to very short battery runtime, some bafflement as to why this happening, and then some swearing when you remember what you did. Or, maybe that was just me

All the options default to off. If you need to, just uncheck them. If you get desperate, you can delete the config file on the device.
