Alright, you're at least the 2nd person to say that so I'm going to give it a go!

And they were right.

Registered it through the Kindle whispernet. Used the store and bought the next book I want to read (Th Pirate King- R.A. Salvatore--good deal at $6.36 for a book that's not in paperback yet). It downloaded and the books the previous user left are still there as well.

So that's good to know. If you're selling a used Kindle you can tell folks about the books on it and that they can read them as long as they don't delete them off the Kindle.
