What bugged me was that the seller wouldn't even attempt filing a claim with the post office, even though the Post Office told me s/he could since insurance was included and I told the seller this.
I have lived here over 10 years and never missed a package before so I don't know what went wrong. I have occasionally received things intended for a similar address across town so I suppose it's possible it happened in reverse and my package went to them. I'm not going to get a p.o. box unless this happens again. Though I won't order anything expensive.
Of course you don't always know ahead of time if a package will be sent by USPS or one of the other delivery services that don't use PO boxes.
