All ereaders have sensitive screens. You might do better with a tablet. They are more accident proof. Ok, that said, I have used the screen protectors for a Nook Simple Touch. They reduce contrast slightly. Not really needed in your situation as the new case you will be buying will protect the screen from scratches.
