Last week I replaced my O3. The lighting had a patch of cooler colour temperature, near the upper right area of the screen. It wasn't too obvious to see, but it was there.
I'm very sensitive to noticing lighting imperfections on Kindles. I had to replace my Paperwhite 4 times until I got one that was acceptable. The O3 screen overall is definitely an improvement to previous generations of Kindle.
With my first O3, lowering the brightness to a dim level suitable for dark room reading made the imperfections stand out more, and it drove me crazy.
The replacement is much better. However, what I find interesting is the replacement has warmer LEDs in comparison. It's not a big deal, in fact, I rather favour it over the previous O3.
