And are you saying that you can see the device has connected to your WiFi router with this firmware version? But, not with the later firmware? The only WiFi connection issues I have had with my Aura H2O with any firmware has been with the router at work. And that was definitely a problem with the router.
Wifi connects to 4.7.10413 and earlier versions perfectly. Any firmware after this one fails to connect and won't save the password too. I even tried making my Android phone use Hotspot and tried connecting the Kobo to that. Still the same problem. I just want to be able to connect to the Beta Browser and connect to Calibre server to download my books without the USB wire.
There are ways to do it. There are a couple of different patches that can be used. Another way is to add a hosts entry file to point to something that will give the appropriate responses. You would need to do a search in the forum to find the details.
