Me too. Adding my two cents here: I "trained" my O2 to be at brightness level 5 in a completely dark room, which is the way I like to read. So when I turn of my lamp, the brightness goes down slowly but never goes lower than 5. Which, for me, is a pretty good behavior. In bright sunlight I can't care less if the brightness is maxed out. I don't really believe it is going to reduce battery charge duration, and in my usage it is pretty rare that I would read in direct sunlight.
But I agree that the algorithm should have an upper cap where it would turn off the light. Maybe people that read a lot in the sun get reduced battery charge duration.
