Given that the base firmware on all Kobo touch ereaders is the same and the responses about extending the power off time have mentioned patching/tweaking/sacrificing a black rooster at midnight while dancing widdershins and skyclad around a blasted oak, your query is a bit disingenuous. So either use the patch to change the timer settings or use a single setting in the KoboeReader.conf file (as mentioned by PeterT).

Personally, I only power off my Kobo ereaders when I plan on storing them for months. For the most part, putting them to sleep allows me to start reading much faster and, in my testing with my usage patterns, I found no advantage to powering them off in terms of battery life. YMMV.
