I would also add that if Waveshare delivers a 13.3" eink display, as seem probable because they just released a 10.3" display, the possibility of hobbyists creating their own Eink screens, large enough for daily work using SSH or VNC, comprised of a large e-ink and a Raspberry pi will become real and the total cost could be much more affordable than a Boox Max.

Here are two 13.3" panels that are listed as in production:

The ES133TT3 is used in the Max. It is sold by Eink at the inflated "evaluation" price of $450 here: https://shopkits.eink.com/product/13...play-es133ut2/

A discontinued panel ED133UT2 is used in the Dasung Paperlike Pro according to a teardown by Kev Zettler here: https://kevzettler.com/2018/02/11/da...-pro-teardown/

Here are all currently in production Eink displays: http://www.panelook.com/modelsearch....state=1&best=0
