But Audible didn't have the chutzpah to say something like, "you've been
handpicked to participate in this promotion," or something to that effect. I actually got a mass mailing message in my email two or three months ago that actually used the word "handpicked!"
I am curious, though, about who does and doesn't get selected for these promotions. Someone said "algorithms," and that's about the best answer than I can think of, too. I know that I am not handpicked, that's for sure.
