I'm not directly on the coast--I'm inland quite a bit. But if the projected track, right now, of Dorian, comes true, it will tear things up here significantly. Irma hit us directly nearly two years ago, after it had gone over land for 100 or 200 miles, and it still created a real mess--my power was out a little over 4 1/2 days, and that was with Florida Power and Light having a huge number of crews from other parts of the South borrowed and pre-positioned here just to handle such things.

If the current projected path of Dorian comes true, N.C. is not out of the picture. 'Course you've got quite a few hills and trees to help break up hurricanes a lot before they get inland. Florida is as flat as a pancake. The old joke around here is that Florida does have hills, you just have to be on your belly to see them!"
