I just got this in my email inbox. Note that the promotion is targeted.

The reason that I'm posting it, is that you need to check your email soon to see if you are a "winner"--Some of you may not be accustomed to checking your email very often. You must click on an "Activate" button, in the email message, by Sept. 5, to be eligible. Why Amazon sent this to me today, August 30, 2019, 3 days after the promotion started on August 27, is anyone's guess.

This is something that I, personally, have not seen in an Amazon promotion before, that I remember. It's sweet: "Eligible purchases made before activation still count!" I think that I have made $15 in purchases since the promotion start date, so according to this statement, it looks like I'm already set to get the $4 credit. WooHoo!
