I can't imagine either of us telling you that.

It has long been my plan to make Preview open by default on new installations, but wouldn't do it until I figured out how to do so without Preview trying to hog the whole window on first launch. I solved that problem and implemented it in Sigil version 0.9.17. Starting with that version, Preview is tabbed with the Table of Contents widget in the right docking area by default on first launch (provided there is no preexisting Sigil.ini file to prevent it).
