To be honest, in bright light, I can't even tell if the light is on. I can turn it up and down and its the same. I live in a pretty sunny place so even inside near a window it gets bright. And in that condition, all the newer kindles look the same to me as far as back round goes.
But there has to be some difference in screens as I don't notice such differences on my Voyage and O3. Or O1 and O2. I don't have the O2 anymore though, but I did compare it before I traded it in.
I think I said that too somewhere. If you only read during the day with good light and you already have the O2, I don't know of you really need the O3. I can't even tell there is a warm light during bright days. It shines when inside, not right in the bright light of a window and when it gets darker.
