You might want to just try the simplest path you can. Create a folder on your c drive like calibredb and point to that folder. You will certainly have access to it and it will exist.

Me too, and I have the added impediment of being seriously drugged at the moment.
In a week or so, when I am not either in pain or whacked out of my gourd, I will give it a try again. Just not right now.
