Recipe auto-send - limit the device sent to?

Is there a way of limiting the device that a recipe is sent to with "Automatically send downloaded news to e-book reader" enabled.

I've got a Kobo for reading books and an Android tablet that I read news recipes on. The tablet connects automatically each morning with Calibre Companion a little while after the scheduled recipe runs. Occasionally CC doesn't connect on some days (usually flat battery on the tablet!) and then if I plug the Kobo in to load a new book on the same day it gets that last recipe. Which of course, I don't want on the Kobo. And then of course the recipe doesn't auto-load on to the tablet because Calibre, I assume, knows it's already been "sent" somewhere. (Out of curiosity, how is that "I've been sent" thing managed?)

The only tweak I've been able to find is send_news_to_device_location which only specifies the location on the device.
