I just finished L. E. Modesitt Jr.'s The Mage-Fire War. This was number 21 in the Recluce Series and another excellent read. I have just started Jeff Shaara's Gone For Soldiers. This is his excellent historical novel of the Mexican American War of 1846. So far it is as good as the others I have read by him.
