Video of New PageEdit Features Coming in the Next Release

Hi All,

In case anyone is interested, I made a short screen capture video (just over 2 minutes long) that illustrate some of the new features coming in the next release of PageEdit.

To grab the video (no audio is included) go to:

https://github.com/Sigil-Ebook/PageE...ases/tag/0.8.0

And download:

Upcoming_PageEdit_New_Features_720p.mp4

This video shows the current master builds of both Sigil and PageEdit being used together on macOS. PageEdit has been set as the External XHTML Editor in Sigil.

Synopsis:

An epub is opened via drag and drop on macOS in Sigil. Once loaded, the BookBrowser is used to make the OPF file (content.opf) the current Tab. Then PageEdit is then launched via the External XHtml Editor icon.

PageEdit, when launched with an OPF, will allow editing of all of the XHtml files in the epub's spine in reading order. The video demonstrates the new icons available in the upcoming PageEdit to navigate among editing files in reading order and by jumping. Spellchecking and Find are also demonstrated.

In addition the video shows how to change between the default "Edit" mode (where spellchecking and editing can be done) to "Preview" mode, that will allow the user to preview the book, take links, and return from the last link.

All changes made to any of the xhtml files when saved will be made available inside Sigil itself.

Comments and Feedback welcome.

All of these features are available in Sigil and PageEdit master right now if you build your own from source. They will be available in the next release.

Hope this helps,

KevinH and DiapDealer.
