Technically is still a screenshot since it is what is displayed by Android. Like if you capture a screenshot of your desktop computer that has a scratch on the screen. You won't see that scratch on the screenshot.
But your recommendation is fine: a retailer that wants to sell hardware should capture images of the actual content displayed on the screen instead of software screenshots.
BTW, screenshots in other ereaders works the same way (they're in color).
