BetterRed's preference would be that applications incorporate as many keyboard shortcuts as possible. But, apart from the standard sequences such as Ctrl+A/Z/X/C/V which would be non-customisable, they should not ship any default keyboard shortcuts, other than via an optional plugin which would set them to the 'developers default set'
