Well yeah, I’m just a stupid customer (who btw preferred Oribit (= Hachette) books to other publishers because of printing/paper quality), do I really have to know about law in order to buy a book?
And this whole thing is/was about
promoting ebooks. So what kind of message do you send to the customers when they try to buy a book and are told that: well sorry but you are of wrong nationality?
Bear in mind that not all of the customers are coming from the Orbit One dollar website, some will just see an advert of the shop they use. And :gasp: the shops are happy to have customers from all over the world, they even calculate the prices for them.

So Hachette would need a shop just for Americans only.
And how come that Random House can give away books for free and they have no region issues?
Anyway, the next book in April “Winterbirth” I’ve read already and was just tedious, like history class lecture, so maybe I use my left micromoney for Jennifer Rardin book in May but after that I’m done with Orbit (Hachette). So well done, Hachette.
