yse, but I am talking about the "backup" ( which may be called " export library" function built into calibre, not a Windows backup.
I remember how windows backup worked, and that it can be incremental, but I assumed that the folks starting these threads were using a calibre function ?
e.g. this from post #1
I tried to back it up using the "Export/Import all Calibre data"

so a better phased question from me would be what advantage(s) of
export/import all Calibre Data
vs just making a copy of the library folder
e.g. does the export also bundle in the config data ?
