Not really. We have mixed feelings. This tree is over 70 years old and was my mother-in-law’s favourite. At the same time it drips so much sap the deck is almost unusable.
There wouldn’t be enough light for a new tree because the canopy is so high. Even with Science!
We may have to console ourselves by expanding the deck a bit.
