Stranded. Stranded in some life activity or relationship, on an island (would like to read Robinson Crusoe yet again
), someplace, some job, transported, etc.
Or taking some hints from another song, Jimmy Cliff's (so Reggae flavored) 1969 ballad

But I am not fussy, can go with anything.
