In doing the "Get List of Books from Device" task, it seems to reach a certain file, then stop. After a while the error message below shows up. I deleted that file, then did it again, and it stopped on the next file in the folder, with the same error message (below). Do you have any idea what might be wrong? I've done the following:
1) rebooted both the device and your computer (which didn't make a difference)
2) deleted driveinfo.calibre and metadata.calibre on the device then
3) Reset the device
I can successfully copy a file on my (Windows 10) hard drive, then paste it to my Kindle Fire, so the usb connection is functioning. I've seen this reported several times over many years -- since my computer can communicate with the Kindle Fire, the problem seems to be with Calibre. Any thoughts on what might be wrong, and how to fix it -- not by going wireless, which is too slow, but by finding a bug fix in Calibre? In
Thanks for any help.
Jonathan
