My experience on my KV: With fw 5.11.2 & jailbreak & update.bin.tmp.partial directory, a couple of weeks ago, my kindle suddenly reboots (in that moment, WIFI-connected)... to found fw 5.12.1 installed and update.bin.tmp.partial directory removed.

Jailbreak survived, I reinstall KUAL, linkss, usbnetwork and re-create update.bin.tmp.partial directory.

Some minutes ago, my kindle (in that moment wifi-connected) reboots with "firmware update" screen... But after finished, fw is still 5.12.1 (or so it says). Jailbreak survived, but i've to reinstall Kual et al again.

I do not understand that "firmware update" process without any (aparent) fw version change... something strange (and ominous) is in the air.
