If you are clicking the right place (and I don't remember the difference- or it there IS a difference) .... using the Kindle Owners Lending Library KOLL instead of KindleUnlimited KU -- then you should be told that: "you already have book XYZ borrowed; want to return it?". Unless it's still the same month, then you can't borrow another and get asked about joining KU.
