Sigh, the "influencers" has found our store now, too. Today a very nervous young lady entered the store, wanting to talk to the owner.
She told my father she was putting on a play in August and wanted us to sponsor her. In return we got 2 "free" tickets and she post about us on Instagram (my father might only have a vague idea what that is). My father said no. With the usual story that in the past we overspend on our advertisement budget every year. So now we decide in December/January where we want to spend that money, so if you want us to advertise in your newspaper/website/magazine/etc. you should let us now at the end of the year and we'll take a look at it. So far only one had actually done so, the local/neighbourhood newspaper and that's a good investment.
But she must have been desperate to ask us for this.
